Maybe, I'm missing something...
I know that in order to go to root, we have to su root from admin.
(And I agree with Robert in that it is pointless since both root and admin
has the same password.)
The idea is to add a user using the (gui) User Interface of the RAQ3.
Maybe you are talking about adding a user via telnet.  If I understand
correctly,
you're saying that you had the same problem and you had to login as root.
But the User Interface does not allow you to login as root only as admin
(highest level).

I did not setup samba, but i am familiar with it. Try it again using the
instructions i gave you in the previous email.
