Hi Paul,
On 04 April 2000 at 10:18:13 GMT -0700 (PDT) (which was about 18:18
where I live) Paul Schreiber <cheesefactory@xxxxxxxxx> wrote about
"[cobalt-developers] mod_auth_pam with apache and PHP" and made these
points:
PS> [1] I haven't tried it on a Qube.
It does work and seems to run faster that before !
PS> Does the Qube even use mod_auth_pam?
I don't actually know this. I don't think that it does. If this is the
true there is nothing to worry about.
Can some one confirm wether mod_auth_pam is on the qube.
PS> [2] Why weren't you able to install it? Did you get any errors?
Yes I did get some errors. They appeared when I ran the make after
config.status . If I took out the line
"--active-module=src/modules/extra/mod_auth_pam.o"
it runs OK.
Some things to note.
(1) there is no file mod_auth_pam.o on the system at all.
(2) The line in mod_auth_pam.c has been modified to
*pam_servicename = "ahttpd",
(3) The actual error is
===> src/modules/extra
Makefile:102: *** missing separator. Stop.
make[3]: *** [all] Error 1
make[2]: *** [subdirs] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/users/local/apache_1.3.12/src'
make[1]: *** [build-std] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/users/local/apache_1.3.12'
make: *** [build] Error 2
I hope that info is useful.
PS Thanks for the _very_good_ instructions.
