RAM is the key issue, that and the config, albeit restricting what you
index will speed it up on your Solaris box as well -- the issue is 
more that the RaQ and RaQ2 ship with 16MB ram, 14MB of which is what
the system gets to use though...Same slows down compiling well anything,
I dare you to compile say PostgreSQL on a RaQ ;-).
