Your Qube 2 must have the kernel and glibc updated to work correctly with InterBase.

If not already installed, you must install the following kernel and tools patchs:
All-Kernel_mips-1.0.pkg , 
             ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/developer/All-Kernel_mips-1.0.pkg
All-Kernel_mips_tools-1.0.pkg ,
            ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/developer/All-Kernel_mips_tools-1.0.pkg
