[cobalt-developers] RAQ2 restore problems

I'm experiencing backup and restore problems on my RAQ2, let me outline what I've done to the server in the past few days.

backed up server on December 11
installed php3 and mysql after December 11 backup
backed up server on December 13
restored server with December 11 backup
mysql and php3 remained on the server
restored server with December 13 backup

I restored to the December 11 backup after a successful php3 installation, and a mysql installation that seemed ok, except that I could not set a root mysql password.  I thought by restoring and trying the installation again, I might be able to.

While restoring the server with the December 13 backup file, the main frame of the admin GUI went blank, except for:

I assumed the backup didn't work, rebooted, and tried it two more times with the same result.  I'm obviously concerned about the state of my server and wonder what is going on.  Other than this everything seems to function as it normally would.  Can someone provide me with some insight?
